View Full Version : Earth Hour 2008, What are your plans?
Earth Hour 2008 is Saturday, March 29, 2008, and is sponcered by the World Wildlife Fund, and begins at 2000 hours local time. The purplse of it is to demostrate that we can do with a little less electrical usage. The result of this global demonstration is the resulting savings of enough electrical power to power two major U.S. cities for one hour and the appropriate financial savings.

Good post GVan, I'm in.
Everything will be off except the electric fence.
Sawing off a little chuck with the little woman maybe in order. ;)

doesn't get dark until about 8:15pm here and we have no electric lights, so not much point in it....I don't think something like that can lead to effective, permanent change of electricity consumption, but what is your opinion?? Will you change your ways as of today permanently?

Seems like a ploy by the electric companies to save themselves a little $.

I retract that statement. That domain, www.earthhourus.org, was registered, surprisingly enough, but the World Wildlife Fund.
