If you like bean sprouts, you can make your own. It's pretty easy. The easiet beans to sprout are the green mung beans; soak 1/4 cup (50 ml) of bean in 1 cup (250 ml) of water overnight. Drain the soaked beans. and place them in a thin layer on the bottom of a shallow dish, covered with a damp paper towel. Twice a day rinse them, shake off excess water and replace in the dish. In about 4 days your sprouts, with or without the beans attached, will be ready for use.
