Maybe it's my Canadian seperatist nature...but could there be one or two extra boards for wild animal and wild plant topics? I'm never sure where to post those threads. What about animals I neither wish to hunt or trap?

WW - You have two boards for plants depending on what you want to post about.

Survival Food: Foraging, Hunting, Fishing, and Trapping....or

Homestead Gardening & Food Storage

If it doesn't fit those two you can always post in General Chat. The animals can post in General Chat as well.

Just give the forum descriptions a once over and post where you think it should go.

Do you really have a need to know how to skin a tree sloth?

Sounds like SHTF or TEOTWAWKI at least for the sloth. all about perspective

Sam - I honestly don't know. I've never tried to eat one. I guess the up side is it would be pretty easy to hang in the smoke house.

Although some may say the animals already do post in General Chat, I think I really don't want to hear the animals' points of view. I'm pretty sure it would come down to something like "STOP HUNTING US YOU BAS**RDS!!"

Just seems like on other forums they're capable of sorting things better - like www.frontierfreedom.com, www.backwoodshome.com etc, guess that's why they sort things in bookstores and grocery stores too, so you can find stuff. But maybe not enough contributors to such topics on here.

Yep, she's one of them whacky Canadian separatists alright, see how she's trying to separate everything? Big Brother's watching the Yukon now WW :D, in Free Traxistan we're just going to color code and number everything.

A good site for IDing insects is www.bugguide.net, but you need to post a pic if you have an ID request. www.whatsthatbug.com also has lots of pics to help you ID bugs. They even have bug porn! (See the link "Bug Love".)
