Boat information

I'm looking for more info on a particular boat. In the you tube video "happy People Life in the Taiga" the trappers use a clinker built boat for transporting the river. I'm in search of info on this boat. I've web searched river boat, clinker, boat etc with no luck.

I can remember the discussion......did a quick search on Alaska gold rush boats.....few looked similar.

Seems you had to build a boat or rent on to get your gear up the river to the gold fields....and I can recall it being described as having to cut your boards using a "whip saw", guy in the pit, and a guy up on a scaffold....
Call of the Wild, and White Fang, by Jack London..... I think I read about it....been a long while.

We had a whip saw rig set up at our rendezvous, and was really a trick to saw a board straight.

It's raining, so i will keep looking.....LOL

I just watched the whole two part series. It was pretty good.
