Anybody else watch the NBC special on the AR 15 America's Gun (or something like that)? This guy was working on the upper reciever for the AR 15.

It's not the first, just the first MSNBC has heard about.

I saw 3-d poly AR lowers on U-tube a long time back.

Several guys on other forums are working on 3-d pistol frames.

As far as I know though, this is the first functioning firearm made entirely out of ABS plastic except for the firing pin. Which raises a question: what's the TSA going to do in airports now? If you can make it through a metal-detector with a fully-functioning firearm because its only metal component is the firing pin, what new scheme will they try to put in place to combat this? I imagine it will be more invasive than what they do currently...

Oh you better count on it pardner.
Conversely, we can do without the TSA entirely and let everyone board armed to their teeth...or opt to take loooooong drives. It'll sort itself out soon enough.

The concept of people being "armed to the teeth" is perfectly acceptable to me. It's no different than someone carrying at Home Depot. The problem arises when we can't carry in the state that were landing in. Of course, that won't pose an issue to a criminal or a terrorist.

I think TSA should go to a full body strip search. At least that's been my suggestion each time I go through security. The last lady told me I was just too eager. Not sure what she meant by that.
