I remember my mother writing letters to her. I'm not sure if they were positive or negative since we are Irish.

Yes a loss for so many. She certainly made her statements and will be remembered in history. If only we could have a leader so strong in these times.

In part she was one of our better Prime Ministers, however, she was also singlehandedly responsible for the destruction of one of the best Health Services in the world, our Mining industry, and Social Housing policies. Having said that, she was a force to be reckoned whom I admired for her singlemindedness and reluctance to allow any country or collaboration run roughshod over my country . She was the epitome of a strong and determined leader.. Shame all our Prime Ministers since have all been limpwristed ninnies with no individual thought of their own. And yes I did vote for her all 3 times she was in office. The alternative was just not acceptable. Look what happened to my country when the 'other lot'got in!
