For any of you who are interested, John Hawkes web-site is www.hawke@specops.com. This is the former special forces guy that was the survival expert they used on the Amazon episode of "I Shouldn't be Alive: The Science of Survival."
Also a few years back Discovery Channel did a two part story on the "Marine Corps Survival School." Discovery carries the DVDs of those shows for $7.99ea plus a once only shipping fee of 5 bucks. (#091914 & #091030) I lucked out and got both episodes on one tape, although it took me a year or two in between. You can also order DVDs of Man vs. Wild & Survivorman if your so inclined.
Also, if you Google "survival", you'll see "Hood's Woods" listed. I picked up the DVD of his "Survival Basics" at a reduced rate of $10.00 at a local Farm-type Discount store. Use it...or not. Up to you.
