I have been sitting here killing time until an appointment this AM and turned on the TV, which I seldom do.

Reruns of the old Daniel Boone series is showing.

I don't know where they shot these episodes, but it WAS NOT kENTUCKY!!!

I have been almost every place they are claiming to be and there are no cottonwoods, granite peaks in the background, adlers along the creek banks or sagebrush along the roadsides

:scared:.

I laugh, when I'm watching NCIS and there are mountains in the background of what is supposed to be Norfolk, Va. (Or Virginia, beach.)

I remember some of the scenes from in Ms Kitty's saloon where you could see receptacles in the wall............yeah that was realistic huh? Has anybody seen the 2 white pickup trucks way back in the meadow when Matt Dillon is riding down the trail in the opening scene from Gun Smoke? I have also seen John Wayne westerns where he was fighting Indians and you could see a Jet flying over!

You appear to be in good company, KY.

"The series was set in the 1770s, just before and during the American Revolution, and mostly centered on adventures in and around Boonesborough, Ky. Some aspects of the show were less than historically faithful, which at one point led the Kentucky legislature to condemn the inaccuracies."

No Winnie you are not. I have not noticed these things except the mountains on NCIS that takes place in Norfolk and VA Beach.

Nope. It's just entertainment for me. If the "inaccuracies" become distracting then I don't watch.

Never noticed the 'lumps' in the scenery.
