The new rules put the U.S. in line with the international rules. They actually losen the restrictions.

In my suspicious nature I think they might be trying to invite incidents to promote their own existance.

According to these rules I can take things onto an airplane I can not take into the court-house.

If you're in court, chances are, you're not there for a tea dance and your heart isn't filled with love for your fellow men.
Makes sense to me that knives get checked at the door, in this place of all places. Heck, if I were facing my child's molester, trust me, turning him into a soprano singer would be extremely tempting.

I cause a bit of disruption because of pyrodex, my keyboard seems to collect it. Yes, I wash after a trip to the washroom. No, I normally don't wash after a muzzle reload.

Thankfully, the local "chief" realizes "tis the season". I've held up a 8-10 passenger plane a few times only to answer the the question, "Do you hunt?". The truth has, until now, set me free. It's always the local TSA that gets me.

During leave on my 1st tour in Iraq, I was pulled aside when I landed stateside and my assault pack was swabbed. Should of seen their face when the machine started buzzing, like they had caught a terrorist coming in on a R&R flight from the war front, in full Army uniform, with a plane full others dressed the same way. I had to explain to them, that 4 days prior I would have been carrying 20lbs of C4 in that pack. Of course thru all of that, they didn't bother to notice the 6" folding knife in the front pocket I forgot about until I got home. TSA is just an illusion of security.

Well I am now going to buy a small knife with a 2.36" blade just for flying. I like the idea of always having a knife even if it is a small one!

Rest easy...we are all still protected from being squirted to death.
