When it comes to gardening, there are as many tricks as there are plants. But there's no trick to using companion plants if you know which ones to use.

By the way, you'll notice nasturtiums are listed a lot. I don't think there is a better plant to include in your garden than nasturtiums. Not only do they repel some insects, they will often self seed and return next year in warmer climates AND the flowers are edible.
