Some still remember me, most names are new and I said jokingly I should redo my intro because so much has changed for me. So, I'll do just that. Hi strangers and old friends. I'm Paul, I grew up in Northeast PA, spend a little time in Jersey and moved to Maine where I lived for nearly 20 years. I was a lineman for the power company up there and developed an obsession for knifemaking. I enjoy the science of knifemaking (and most things that interest me, for that matter)more than any other part of it.... Life was good!

I went through a Jerry Reed song inspired divorce last year and my life got tossed out the window. I moved back to PA in June (suburbs of Pittsburgh, this time) to get away from the tiny town inhabited nearly entirely by my ex inlaws. I'm still a lineman for the local power company here and am still a knife nut but I havnt dropped back into rhythm.. I am a hiker, hunter, fisher and camping fan and have spent lots of time practicing and learning primitive methods of outdoor enjoyment (cant think of a better way to say that). I havnt been out in the woods in nearly a year with all the changes and things eating away at my time and suddenly limited resources but am slowly making plans to change that. I have been coming back here again and trying to catch back up... I feel so out of place but I'll try to jump back in like before.

This is a truly unique site in that the members really do have a friendship with each other, and I missed my online friends!

We missed you as well. My mom always had a saying that when one door closes another opens. I certainly hope that's true for you. Welcome home.

It's great to see that you've made it back here again Paul. I too have been through a divorce a while back and it shook me to my roots. Takes a while to get back on your feet again, in many ways. You're on the right track again for sure by re-enlisting. lol Looking forward to seeing some of your posts in here, brother of the bush. :) lb
