Groups, and how to join one

OK im new to this site, and so far i like it very much, but still have everything to learn about it! ive noticed a section about groups,... i dont belong to a "group" but i dont know the how where why when and all that stuff, about joining one, can anyone help out with explaing it all to me.. thankyou

If you click on the Community button on your top tool bar and then select groups you will see them all. Just click on the Join button for the ones you want to join.

Truth be told though - the groups don't do very much, if anything at all. The activity is on the forum pages.

Hey Crash... yes i found them and noticed some of them havent been active for some time, just thought id have a look and see what they were all about. still finding my way around the site. thanks for your help....... chris
