Sorry to spring this so late but I just got the email. If you wear glasses, check out the two for one deal (http://www.zennioptical.com/) at Zennie! The general disclaimers apply- I don't work for them, just a satisfied customer that likes to pay 1/4 what the local opto shops charge.

I learned about Zenni years ago while listening to Clark Howard (consumer advocate) on the radio. Thanks for posting.

:laugh:I know this is gonna sound realllllly stupid...but I snuck in 6 pairs of glasses! Before you call me crazy, hear me out! My prescription has changed less than 0.1 D over the last decade. I've reached the age where my eyes have pretty much stabilized. I expect a decline in about 10 years (if don't all die in December!)

This is probably overkill but you have to understand I went for six years with one pair of glasses and no backup- despite being as blind as a bat!:scared::laugh: So I'll take overkill.

I hope this thread helped someone!

I am a certifiable reading glasses junkie. I hoard them and keep a pair in every room, every purse and pack, even have a small folding pair in my spi belt I wear for running.
Even though I can get away with 1.75 I still can't read without them. And now, to complicate things, I have to wear 1.00 just to watch TV. Because they're all cheap, I don't worry too much when they break or loose a screw I can't replace. (I also hoard screws)
This turned up to be my favorite cheap source: http://www.americanreadingglasses.com/
And I'm in love with this pair of glasses (more than I am used to paying) because I am not even aware I'm wearing them they're that light: http://www.americanreadingglasses.com/category/titanium_reading_glasses

I like Zenni because you can upload your face and see roughly what a particular pair looks like on you before you buy, which isn't a bad idea if you're paying a lot for a prescription.
