I was wondering if anyone has any good recipes or ideas on what to do with Spam?

A friend of mine was asking and to tell you the truth I had no idea. I dont even know what it is made of.

first off; spam is made from mechanically proccesed pork shoulder [who knows what they place into that category], with water, salt and spices [again; who knows what they place into that category] added.

for recipes, you might try looking up any modern hawaiian food recipe, as half thier cuizine seems to incorporate it :D

i like it with cubed spuds, garlic and green, spring or wild onions fried in light corn oil [K.I.S.S.].

I like it fried, slice it 1/4" to 1/2" thick, serve with 3 fresh eggs over easy. With a sideorder of Moose Nuggets.

Korea loves them some SPAM too, they have it in flavors. Guys show up to ask a girl out they bring a six pack of spam instead of flowers.

Before I got married, I had a Korean roommate, and I thought it was funny that he'd buy Spam all the time. His favorite use was to put it in yellow curry with rice. It was quite tasty.

if you're like me, you have a hard time keeping above 10% body fat. during winter, i used to eat clarified bacon grease in place of butter on my toast in the mornings.

the spamwich. take the small 7 ounce can of spam, slice into 4 pieces. fry it up, i like mine almost burnt right around the edges. get 2 hotdogs buns and toast them. put two pieces of spam on each one of the toasted bun halves, top with a handful of shredded fiesta cheese, put back in the oven til the cheese melts. big glob of mayo on the other halves and slap it all together.yyyuuuummmmmmmy. add a moonpie for desert. don't get no better than that.

Macaroni noodles, thin chunked Spam, Diced tomato's and Ms Dash.

A chunk of Spam. A slice of cheese. A jug of wine. And Thee!

Spam; not as good as Bacon but it will keep you alive.

I have tried the Spam with cheese, The Bacon flavored spam and The Turkey Spam. I do like the Turkey Spam. Dice it up and add it to a box of dressing mix and it makes a great camping dinner.

Spam is made from deboned pork shank.

You can use Spam in any manner that you would a small ham.
Atleast once a week I slice some up, add some spices, then fry it off and serve it with fried eggs, plate of grits, and hot bisquits covered with fresh cane mollases.

Oh, that gelatinous mass of goo when you first open the can. The eerie sucking sound as the spam slowly oozes out of the can. The speckled bits and flecks that permeate the meat like body of the product. Those are the things memories are made of. How can anyone not love spam?

So, wildgoth, which part of the "part asian" requires spam?

You can avoid that sucking sound....just use a spoon and eat it from the can!

I'm eyeballing the can right now as I type and I must say I'm tempted to crack it open right now.

No, on second thought I think I'll call it my morning riser with coffee.

P.S.
I don’t know if this is on all the turkey cans but mine has "Proper Spam User Guide" on the back. Step 2 is the best " Squeeze until it Pops".
