First Fishing Trip

Decided to go to Karick Lake today with the family. Tried out some new rods and reels and even got my 2 year old into it, for a little bit. Didn't catch anything but still had fun.

You've taught him pretty well. You have to hold your mouth just right to catch fish and he dang near has it!

It's never about catching the fish. It's always about the time you spend with them. Looks like you guys had a great time and some dandy weather to enjoy it. Thanks for taking us along. Looks like a nice lake.

+1 what Rick said. I take my young nephews fishing from time to time, time well spent as far as I'm concerned. And I get to load 'em up with picnic sugar then hand them back.

I spent more time casting his pole than my own. "Daddy do it do it, I need help!" "ok son one more time." Then my wife getting her lure snagged. "Doug do it do it, I need help!" "yes dear." :)
