Rosmary is one of several herbs that we grow here. We use it both in our kitchen and sell it to a small local restaurant along with several other herbs that we raise. This year we decided we needed more rosmary plants to supply our needs so we checked into methods of starting new plants. (clip new growth off the top 4" to 6" long, dip cut end in rooting hormon, put into pots of sandy soil. should root in about 3 to 4 weeks if kept moist and plenty of sun) Long story short. We set out 38 new rosmary plants a couple days ago. Now we'll see how they do.

found a bit more info. Rosemary's magickal name is ‘Elf Leaf,’ as it was hung around houses to keep thieves and witches out. Sprinkle for luck. Wear to strengthen heart and mind. Rosemary prevents faeries from stealing infants. Rosemary, when burned, emits powerful cleansing and purifying vibrations, and so is smoldered to rid a place of negativity, especially prior to performing magic. It is one of the oldest incenses. When placed beneath the pillow rosemary ensures a good sleep and drives away nightmares. Laid under the bed it protects the sleeper from all harms. Rosemary is also hung on the porch and doorposts to keep thieves from the house and is carried to remain healthy.

Rosemary, does not tolerate temps 30F or below. I bring mine inside when night time temps reach 35F. Depending on your location soil type, rain fall and exposure to sun Rosemary will thrive. It is a Mediterranean plant and perfers temperate zones 6 to 10.

Indoors rosemary can be difficult to keep. There is a fine ballance between not enough water and too much.

Rosemary is high in antioxidants so it might slow down memory loss and is great for arterial health
