I'm not opposed to hunting at all - in fact I think it is a great tradition and an often necessary activity. I also understand getting rid of nuisance pests from areas like on the ranches as you said in the video. Where I depart in agreement from what you were doing is going into a forest just to kill them where they are not a nuisance to others. That to me is not hunting - just killing for the heck of it. Just my opinion - sorry if it sounds harsh.

No worries everyone has an opinion. That's why I put a disclaimer in the post. As always I value everyones opinion and try to take something from each reply post.

To me hunting has a purpose. To eat, to stop predation on livestock, etc. I didn't understand the purpose of the hunt.

Additionally - it looks like rodents are not allowed to be taken in Cleavland National Forest according to the table in this link. https://fs.usda.gov/wps/portal/fsinternet/!ut/p/c5/04_SB8K8xLLM9MSSzPy8xBz9CP0os3gDfxMDT8MwRydLA1cj72 BTSw8jAwgAykeaxcN4jhYG_h4eYX5hPgYwefy6w0H24dcPNgEH cDTQ9_PIz03VL8iNMMgycVQEAIzTHkw!/dl3/d3/L2dJQSEvUUt3QS9ZQnZ3LzZfME80MEkxVkFCOTBFMktTNVVJND AwMDAwMDA!/?navtype=&cid=stelprdb5275787&navid=110200000000000&pnavid=110000000000000&ss=110502&position=Not%20Yet%20Determined.Html&ttype=detailfull&pname=Cleveland%20National%20Forest-%20Hunting If that is the case - is posting video evidence on YouTube wise?

There was a part that didn't make the edit in the video talking about where we were hunting was free range land on forest service land for cattle. The wind noise on the video was so bad I had to leave it out of the video.

It is legal ive done it for years and have checked with the local rangers. I would never post or promote such activity if it was not legal.

So you were killing without purpose other than to amuse yourself?

Not cool.:crying:
