I have been having fits trying to post pictures to this site for some time. I used to be able to post photobucket. But, not no more.

Anyways I am trying this again. Here is a pic of me and my brother Sean taken Sunday. We took a Michigan dude out and he had me go back and get my camera. After I took a couple of pics of him, he took a pic of us.7780

The guy from Michigan was a bit out of his element.

For posting pics are you copying and pasting the IMG code?

You're just lucky you didn't have a guy from Indiana there with you. I would have been sitting on your shoulders in that gator infested swamp.

What kind of trouble are you running into posting pics?

Hey, ahh, you're standing in the water.

If your in the woods your in the water down here. LOL Mostly

I used to be able to post pictures with just the image code from photobucket. But, now it says it is too large.

I have also typed many threads and when I went to go post with the pictures have the whole post disappear. It just happened this time too. I should copy before I hit anything . But hey....

Yeah, we hunt and camp all of South Florida and some central Florida. That picture was taken not that far back off of Stumper's Grade in JW Corbett WMA in Palm Beach County. That's pretty typical of a cypress head down here. The duck weed isn't always there though.

Usually you'll find us north of the Tamiami Trail and south of the top of the lake. Though we'll apply for Bull Creek and hunt Three Lakes if a lot of us get Bull Creek. That is up near Melbourne.

Some other pictures from that trip.

The gators were on the move and we must have pushed this one. We followed the tracks into and out of several holes in the road. But, he went in and must have stayed in one that was particularly deep. I was driving the UTV. But, it was too deep for the UTV to drive through.

Some type of passion flower plant. Its closest to fetid passionflower. But, I think this may not be one of the four passion of flowers listed as growing in Palm Beach. I'll be watching this plant.

Edibles

A cabbage palm patch is just one example of edibles in south Florida.

While you have to kill the cabbage palm to get its heart. The surrounding area is filled with saw palmetto and you can get the terminal bud without killing the plant.

This tree also is used to make shelters and has dry tinder for you even when the rains are really coming down. The jack boots and fronds burn readily and green fronds make usable spatulas and tongs when you forget yours at home.

Grape, sword fern, two species of bidens, ceasar weed, sour orange, and smilax are plentiful here. No grapes yet though.
