No meaning to be a spoil sport, but with Chinese products you seldom get what you pay for. Inferior products with poor to non existent quality control. Personally I would save up and buy a good US military surplus item, or something like this:

May be twice the price, but is also twice the quality. Just one mans opinion

Good looking out, Hunter! I just placed my order as well. Even with shipping, you can't beat the price per. I can't wait to see how good they are.

Not questioning the quality, but quite a bit more than twice the price. The link H63 posted was for 8 bags, not just 1.

Yeah, that's more than 16 times the price. They may not be "top quality", but I didn't get them for day in/day out harsh use either. Two bags I'm gonna look at using for car first aid kit which will sit in the trunk 95% of the time. One I'm goona use to store extra tent accessories in like extra tent stakes, carabiners, rope, and a sewing kit. This will be an item I take when camping, but will just set in the car unless needed. I'm not sure what I will do with the other five, but hey, I gottem!

My apologies,I did not see that. That gives you enough bags to replace them. I guess to each their own. I just prefer buying something once.

Having the proclivity for hoarding, this is just the kind of deal I'd go for. And I like the look of the bag.
However, I'm trying to be more like Pal. The only thing I allow myself to hoard is a deal on tried and true products I know they'll eventually either stop making, change the formula or revise the style.

Just because it is inexpensive doesn't mean it is poor quality. Also, even if it is lesser quality doesn't mean it doesn't have it's own purpose. My intention is to have them as fairly decent bags to hold stuff that is not used frequently. Would I take them through the woods for every little thing as a primary pack? Heck no. It is like telling me my safety deposit box at the bank isn't good enough because it isn't "Fort Knox" or a Ford Focus isn't a good car for basic transportation because it isn't a Ford F-350 4x4. Everything has it's own purpose based upon it's characteristics.

If I was going to do several hikes and sight see in caves, I might get a better one like Pal found. I could put a little food, water, first aid, and a camera in it. It would be great for tours and lighter hikes and would stand up to a good beating. But for a bag that seldomly gets used, I like the deal that Hunter found.

Well folks, LOL,....this was a FYI....Not a review or comment on quality....so vote with your wallet or credit card in this instance.
No arguing the point of quality....
I'm a "packer' like my stuff in small bags, then bigger bags, mix and match, store...so I bought them....a lot of them, if a little does a little good, a lot will do a lot of good ....right?

Just because it's Chinese doesn't mean poor quality. Every fire steel you buy is made in China......Just sayin'.

EVERYTHING! As soon as I like it, they stop making it; or they change the style/color/material (as in Nike Air Rift) to the point it's no longer as good.

Well the UPS guy came today, brought my order....so here's a little review.

Bag on the left is a Finn gas mask bag,,,bag on the right is the Chinese Med bag.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y139/hunter63/DSCF0930.jpg
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y139/hunter63/DSCF0929.jpg

Both about the same size, Finn bag little bigger, material thicker, has snaps, sewn in pouches, but on the front part of the bag, bad news is that anything in pouches, tends to pull out the front.
China bag divider on back, but are more of a restraint as they don't have a bottom, flap fastener is velcro, but does have small front zippered pouch, as well as small smap covered pouches on ends.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y139/hunter63/DSCF0937.jpg

China has two/three different configuriations of straps.....comes with a back pack type of set up.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y139/hunter63/DSCF0932.jpg

Or un-snap buckles and snap into another set of buckles for a shoulder strap.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y139/hunter63/DSCF0936.jpg

Could also use the center divider as a belt loop.

DW said as I opend the box...."Now what did you order?....Oh,.. those are kinda cool, can I have one?"

So now I have seven left............

Super duper graet review, Hunter. Now I believe the China bags are worth every penny.
Heck, you can use them as bags holding presents (cheaper than paper bags or boxes you've got to wrap) and I'm ordering me a set. Thanks!

Well Hunter, seeing that you got yours, I rushed home after work in hopes I got mine too. No such luck. You said in your review that there is a "restraint" on the back since there is no bottom. By that, do you simply mean that it has a soft bottom? (Go ahead Rick, I said "soft bottom"!) The reason I ask is I have access to sheet of 3/16" thick hard plastic. Do you think it might be beneficial to cut pieces to insert into the bottom of the bag?

Rick

I'm not touching your bottom.

I guess I was having a hard time explaining....so i will try again, heck I didn't even know what I was talking about....LOL

Yes, as the bottom of the bag is soft, a plastic piece or even cardboard, (moisture problem with cardboard?) would help it hold its shape and might even stand up by it's self.

The Finn gas mask bag sold by center-fire systems:
http://centerfiresystems.com/POUGASFIN.aspx

Has been out of stock, but IS the other bag for comparison.....has pouches sewn inside, and some come with dividers , but are on the front, (flap side) of the bag.
I am using one for a possibles bag for an in-line rifle, anything put in these pouches, tend to pull the front (flap side open)

The China bag also has sewn in pouches,, I call them restraints (organizer?) as they aren't sewn at the bottom, so would hold a canteen, of other larger object from tipping over, but small gear would fall out.
These are attached to the back so as to not pull the flap open.

I can see my fire kit in the front zipper pouch, and naybe find as small piece of gear to the end pockets.

I doubt if either one is water resistant/proof, but for a couple of bucks apiece seemed a deal.

Little note here,.... I am a keep essentials on my person, type of guy,.... if I drop the bag, I am still good to go, with knife, fire, light, compass, shelter, first aid, whistle, snacks, water bottle., etc.

I just got mine in the mail today. Hunter's review is spot on. The one I got are brand new and in very good condition. On a scale of 1-10 for quality, I would rate these as a 8. If the material was a little thicker and water resistant I would give it a 10. The snaps are tight and the stitching is really clean. The buckles are also really easy to use and click very tight. Durability can only be tested over time, but I have confidence in the item. I would recommend it being purchased and it is definately a good deal.

Like DW, my wife has already claimed one as well! I better hide the rest before my kids see 'em!

Well, now that I got around to putting an order in, they're sold out!
They should give Hunter a cut of the proceeds.

Yeah, If I knew they would be as good as they are, I would have doubled my order!
