I was just wondering what would make good bedding. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

Are you asking about natural materials or manufactured (pads, bag covers, sleeping bags)?

I am asking about natural materials.
What's your environment chica? WarEagle mentioned pine needles and I agree, but the whole pine bough is what I believe he's talking about. Lots of them, makes a nice spongy and nice smelling bed surface, just throw a tarp or blanket over them, but he and I both do our outdoor things in northen boreal forest. So it really depends where you are. There are some mosses that are good, but you're best off to cut them out of the ground in big chunks (a machete is excellent for this, but I hardly ever have one :() and hang them on some branches to dry a bit because most mosses absorb a lot of moisture and it'll seep when you're sleeping on it and that's kind of yucky to wake up to.

I live in a valley in Morelos Mexico. The climate here is tropical. Not many pine needles :( I do carry a machete a lot though, but there aren't many mosses here either.

Well besides pines, I would say sand could work well if it is warm enough. If it is cold, then it will steal all of your heat.
Sand bad, leafy substances good. What do you have for any kind of bushy tree? I'm guessing that's your best bet. But I am guessing, people can write volumes on what I don't know about Mexico.
Jay might be a good contact for this. He's from Sri Lanka. It's also a tropical paradise. At least he can tell you what he uses.
