Here's a thought. What say we knock up the Shaws if things go a bit sour? They seem to have a few bits stored. No need for my worry. I'll just pop on over to their house.

Wow, the whole attitude of the media there is backwards.

I don't prepare cause I'm scared. I prepare so I don't have to be scared.

Wait, hmm, A year here?

I thought it was a dandy plan for 4 people plus all the folks that will drop by now that they know who, where and what. Oh, and not a weapon. Those danged British gun laws.

Maybe this is the picture in the article they were referring to when they said they had a year's worth of supplies?

Funny how they think, if they've got no money, they can keep the power on for that freezer.
Not a home canned good in sight either.
The comments say they have some Bolinger's champagne in that rack. LOL. I suppose to toast the End of the World?

I have to correct this statement. It should read.

"The media, the world over, thinks backwards." Oh, and politicians, and governments, and entitlement dirtbags.

Even I had to laugh at this one. What few preppers there are over here, have a very strange idea of what is worth storing and why. Tinned food and a full freezer seems to be top of the list. Home preserving just doesn't happen. I have terrible trouble finding equipment, and when I do it's horribly expensive. It was cheaper to import a Canner from US than buy a Pressure Cooker that could work as one bought over here. I will start looking for the couple, they will be my back-up plan should I need it. Tally ho!

@Winter, you're despicable. How could you compare a Maori war club to a Cricket Bat?! I'll have you know, Cricket is a very effective form of defence. If your attacker doesnt die of a major brain fart trying to understand the rules, you can always hit them over the head or launch the ball at them.

And just for those who don't know the rules......

Cricket: As explained to a foreigner...

You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out.
When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game.

Ooh. Ooh. Zombies. Don't forget zombies. Shaun did a rightly good job with one against zombies.
