F.A.R.T.s, madam, are known never to give up. There is nothing quite like a persistent F.A.R.T. Samples would be good.

Congratulations on the find.

As Rick said - us F.A.R.T.S. never give up. We might nap a little, but we hang around. We might be slow, but we can be deadly. Rest assured that we will linger for a long, long time.

You can be real slow to get moving sometimes too.

A pressure cooker is a very handy thing to have. My GF gave me one a couple X-mas's ago. I'd like to get a better Kuhn-Rikon one. The main thing I'd like it for would be making stock. Of course, a large pressure canner would also rock. I've never canned anything but my mom is a whiz. She says she'll show me the ropes.

Don't say that Winnie! Pressure canners are AWESOME! We invested in one this year and it's already paid for itself. Considering our food stores AND the need for refrigeration, it was really the only long term solution to a power outage. (I think it makes some veggies taste better too!) We've used ours a lot this year so if you got one you have good reason to be happy!

Winnie jnr is buying it for my birthday present.
I've been looking for one for yonks YCC. For the very reason you have one. It's still only large pressure cooker size, but can be used as a canner, I think that's the best I can expect over here.

If it's mostly you by yourself eating small meals a pressure cooker doing half pints will be perfect. Our big one does quarts, but we have to fix bigger meals at a time, but I can put up things like okra in servings that I can eat by myself too (my kids aren't too fond of slime either, Rick!). You can't do as many at a time with the smaller ones, but the books say they work the same! Happy Birthday indeed!
