The life of Riley...er...WE.
Don't get no better than that.
Repeat after me....I'm getting older...I'm getting older. You have to slow down at some point. I'm glad it wasn't worse than that and hope you heal up fine. You don't stop by often enough!

been sitting om me duff alot just relaxing, plus been friving the trap line looking at the ponds and streams and rivers to see where the water levels are at and if any the ponds are active,ie fresh feed beds and new mud and poplar(aspen) on any of the lodges, tols my partner tho ifn he gets the truck stuck he's walking out, i can't walk so i have my gear with me, altho it is bird season so might run into someone.
rick i would stop by more but just logging on viewing this thread and responding to it has taken 20 mins, very frusterating so until i can get a better computer and satlelite i won't be around much, main reason i hain't been on much in the last year, appreciate the sentiment tho

I remember about 20 years ago I broke my right hand. Went and got a cast and was told no work for 8 weeks. As luck would have it this happened just a few days before trapping season opened. How lucky can a guy get. Opening day I slipped on a muddy creek bank and filled the cast slap full of mud. Well, that was the first of three replacement casts. If I remember right every time I went in for a checkup I got a new one. Mostly to dirty for the doctor to deal with. Once the cast broke while setting a 220 conibear. I think about this often now as I get older and Arther has set in. Looking back I should have rested up instead of pushing it like I did. Yea right. Hope you heal up soon WE.

Face it WE - you're getting old like the rest of us. I hear you on the taking so long to log on and type with one hand. It was very frustrating after my surgery to have to do that.

I understand WE. I'm on the tail end of recovery from two broken wrists, broken rib, and a puncture to the left leg. Mine was because I fell out of a barn loft, hit a trailer, then the staircase, then I found the ground. It isn't fun, but today marks four weeks exactly. I am almost completely healed, but tomorrow, bow season starts and I can't do it! :censored: Hope you will be okay.
Here's wishing you a speedy recovery.
I'm just thinkin' out loud here but wouldn't it have been easier just to have taken the stairs in the first place?

You know what they say, hindsight is 20/20. Actually, part of the banister gave way. I though I was going to hit the hay on the trailer and be done, but the hay bail I hit flipped upon impact. The rest is history!:triage:
