1. Only Senior Members (those with 100+ posts) may post listings here. All members can post replies to new listings.

2. This service is to be used at your own risk. The management of the forum, or Jalic Inc, the owner of the website, make no claims to the legitimacy of any offer place here. We will not investigate claims of fraud or abuse, nor we will reimburse for any items or money lost. It is recommended you use an escrow service for transactions.

3. You may not use this section to post advertisements leading people to other websites.

4. Sellers may sell in any format they desire. Flat price classifieds, auction, whatever.

This is awesome. If we're not senior members, can we post a "want to buy" thread? If not, can we make a want to buy section? This may also prevent clutter in this category later as well. Just a thought that I thought I would throw out to you.

I don't see why not. Just start the thread "Wanted" or "Want to buy".

I would keep is as "buying" and not "trading" until you have at least 100 posts though.

I understand. I just thought this would help the newbs starting out that might be looking for a particular item in used condition. ie packs, canteens, cookware, etc.

One rule they have on other forums is NO discussion. You don't want third parties jumping in with their opinion on a product. And turning a Offer/Sale/Sold into their soapbox about a product. Example: If I offer a Becker BK-2 for sale I don't someone saying it is just a BIG Heavy, Ugly, hunk of steel. They can go start a thread with their opinion. And I'll agree the BK-2 is a Big Heavy, Ugly, hunk of steel. (That works).

Not any longer, I am not well along my project to cache excess supplies in the wilderness.

Chris, it says on my account that I am a senior member but I'm not able to post in the classified area. Any idea what's going on?

That has happened to a couple of people. Shoot him an email (bottom of the page - contact us) so that he will get it sooner.

What is this stuff about "diff. site"? I've heard rumors of such things but I think they only exist on the dark side of the web. I would be very afraid to travel there. I think you have to wear garlic when surfing it. Just sayin'...

I always considered this an exchange site between members, not an open auction site.

Back in the day we used to do a lot of swapping via private messages. Me and Hunter and old Nate have swapped enough gear to equip a scout troop, along with the trailer to pull it with.

BTW how does someone manage to be a member here for five years and only have 27 posts?

Have you been in a coma or is it the fact that you joined after 2012 and we have had no "end of world" panics since then?
