Lost a friend about 5 weeks ago

An unnecessary accident. He was hit by a car while standing next to his car on the highway. He was the fourth person I know to have been hit by a car. All died. So, don't take chances.

People should always get farther off the road than they do. Drivers should always exit facing traffic.

I'd rather be in the ditch then changing a tire inside the white line. It's scary business.

My condolences. It's always tough to lose a friend no matter the reason. To lose them to something potentially avoidable is even worse.

People should always move to the left when passing a park car if it's safe to do so even on a two lane road. Giving even an extra 3 feet of space might be the difference in hiting someone or not. When someone is broke down, for whatever reason, their mind can be distracted to the problem and not approaching traffic. Slow down, move over, save a life.
