Found this On another Site thought I'd Share it With Everyone
Here's the Fourm I Got it From( http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=719191&page=1 )

I picked up some Maple veneer at the Home Depot and cut it into strips that are just slightly larger than the knife's tang.

I want each layer to be a different color so I am using Rit dye to stain the wood.

I decided to use camo colors. Black, Brown, Green and tan.

The three batches that I dyed curled so I dried them with a rag and then pressed between two boards to dry.

I glued up the layers with carpenter glue and let them sit overnight.

I cut them down to the rough size in order to get them ready to mount them to the knife tang.

I added the laminated handle sides to the knife with epoxy and brass pins I also did some rough sanding as well. So far, Im getting the results I had hoped for.

That's really cool and has a lot of possibility. I gotta get back to my attempt, just the summer has been so busy that I haven't had much time.

I think you did a swell job on it. You could probably use different veneer woods, too. Those scales came out great!

As I Was Makeing the 3rd Knife for the DOC Auction I Fell In Love With the Blade Style for It So I Made another .I Used the Same Vaneer Stystem This Time I Used Oak Vaneer and Just Dyed Some Dark Brown and Left The Other Half Undyed So Here's The Results . Still Have to Seal and Polish The Handle But this Is What I Came Out With. ENJOY.

And While I was Working On this One I Finished Another Blade from the Old Bush Blade I Found and cut Up into Blades Useing the Same Vaneer But Dyed Different Colors.

Those scales look great! Really a fine job. I'm more of a traditionalist I guess so the last knife talks to me a little more but I do admire your skill on both!

Looks great. I wonder how well the wood glue will withstand the environment?

I'm Useing Gorilla GLUE Wood Glue And Adding a Bit of Epoxy in to it for Safe Measure .After Sanding and Shaping I Use Super glue 5 Layers To Seal and Give a Polish .
Steps I Use for Super glue Polish (Use Finger Coat Wood Let Dry Light Sand with 400 Grit Buff With 0000 Steel Wool Repeat to How Many Layers you wish to Put on . Nice Seal on Wood and Real Good Polish.
