It is a sick puppy that owns 25'ish back packs, and then buys three more. I need therapy. So today I ordered the Kelty Falcon 4000, It is a quasi-military pack, both heavy and heavy duty. Sadly I still need or want a designated freighter pack in the 6000 to 7000 c.i. range. I have a bunch of 5.11 Tactical "Molle" bags that I can add to the Falcon. You beat all SD, you really do! You need an intervention.
The only upside to your compulsive acquisitions is when SHTF you'll be safe--buried underneath all the stuff where no one's gonna look.

As far as putting down kits, there's an explanation for that; I am not a shrink but I will play one on WSF just so I can help:

"Psychological projection or projection bias is a psychological defense mechanism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defense_mechanism) where a person subconsciously denies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial) his or her own attributes, thoughts, and emotions, which are then ascribed to the outside world, usually to other people. Thus, projection involves imagining or projecting the belief that others originate those feelings.[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychological_projection#cite_note-0)
Projection reduces anxiety (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anxiety) by allowing the expression of the unwanted unconscious impulses or desires without letting the conscious mind recognize them."

Took the Kelty 4000 for a walk, a swim, and a short 1/2 mile of awefully thick bushwhacking. It was the perfect size for this trip, it held up well, no malfunctions, and utilized the removable lid. I am happy with this pack for rugged application only.

What did you like the most about the pack and what did you like the least?

Didn't someone around here claim the more you know the less you have to carry?

What does the need for a 7000 ci pack indicate?

Best: Size, Shape, Heavy duty fabric, The removeable Lid.

Least: The removeable Lid, Rain cover could be bigger, would like camo coloring.

You can pick up a cover in camo. Here's a woodland for $20.

and a snow camo for $7.00
