I had mentioned making my own shelf for my Alice frame...A little thought and Here is what I came up with.

It was Olive drab as I drilled away!

Next I played around with Duplicolor Bedliner! I like it.

Cowboy's shelf is able to be mounted on the long or short side and the drop is adjustable both ways! A couple of extra holes are in the shelf from a previous project. I am very impressed with duplicolor bedliner.

Slick job. I have a couple of shelves for my Alice packs and really like them. It gives you some options you wouldn't have otherwise. Nice!!

Nice, you have set yourself up to carry the 5 gal jugs. I hope they are filled with rum.

Smart, very adjustable.

Thanks for the compliments. 2 reasons I did it. 1. To carry my 5 gallon bucket bank fishing kit. 2. So, my pack will stay standing up, can't stand it falling over!
