wow, thats ****ed up. The supreme court just ruled that officers can enter a home without a warrant if they "believe" evidence is being destroyed.

Pretty much the same thing, its all rediculous. So much for the 4th amendment huh?

It's really kind of a mess at the moment. The ruling was designed to protect police when they hit the wrong house. They didn't want shots being fired back and forth. But the ruling has a lot more ramifications than that. It's not over yet. Challenges abound.

Yeah, well, if the guy in the house is gonna shoot at a cop for coming to the wrong house, I'm pretty sure he was gonna shoot at the cops if his was the right house, so it's not really protecting anyone... lol

As for shooting at a cop if they're at the wrong house, I'm pretty sure shots fired give them plenty of probably cause to enter the building. In fact, IMO, I would think allowing the cops to enter without a warrant is more likely to put them in danger.
