I'm headed to NOLA. Shrimp or Oyster Po'Boy with Tabasco infused mayo. Mmmmm. It'll drive you crazy! Which do you prefer?

I'd have both! With ice cold Red Stripe.
It would be a religious experience.

I took my wife to NOLA for our 3rd anniversary (we alternate years on who plans the getaway) last year. We ate at Acme and had the chargrilled oysters. Cooked on the grill, drizzled in cheese and garlic, and butter. Divine! I believe I ate the shrimp po-boy. No Red Stripe, but I did have the Abita Purple Haze.

Oh, by the way, not to derail the thread, but the WWII museum in NOLA is definitely worth going to. We spent about 3 hours there. There was a great volunteer who served in the Pacific theater. He was a Higgins boat driver and saw action on a lot of the islands.

When did you go? I just got back, myself.

I went with shrimp, with jalapeņo mayo:

That was actually from Darrell's, in Lafayette.

At ACME, I had to go with erstahz, in non-poboy format.

Oh, (cough) (sputter) gads! I don't do filter feeders. Sorry. I think I threw up a little. Shrimp Po' boy is an A+, though.

While waiting for the storm... Those were great pics girlscout. The first day I had rabbit / shrimp jambalaya while listening to Etta James and Muddy Waters.

That's just inhumane--all I had since 6am is a cup of coffee and a diet coke.
Why, oh why, did I have to look?!

Oops!!

I forgot the pistolette pic

It's fried french bread, stuffed with crawfish, crab, and shrimp. I had a better one that that one at Steamboat Bill's. It was stuffed with crawfish etouffe.

Benesse, if it makes you feel any better, I am paying the piper now. I gained 4lbs from that trip. I started my diet today. :( No more pics, unless you want to see celery, salad, and canned tuna.
