I found the Habitat for Humanity reuse center! People remodling their homes can drop off good used supplies at the center and they are sold cheap to fund HFH homebuilding projects.

Counter tops, vanities, windows/doors bathroom fixtures, electrical/lighting.

I snagged a $300 bathtub for $50. Not a mark on it.

The one I have been using was already in the house, an awful avicado green color complete with huge chips and a couple of dents.

It is a 50 mile drive but worth the effort.

Check your local transfer staion and see if they offer a reuse center there as well, the one here does and there is no charge to drop off or aquire items at this reuse center, items must be in good working condition before it can be dropped off, other wise it goes into the transfer station.

I haven't used it a lot, but there is one here in town, not 400 yards away. My buddy is building a huge home, and has really gotten some great deals for there. A lot of the stuff comes from Home Depot, Lowe's, small hardware stores as well, at least they do here.

Justin, we used to have a county landfill here, but a few years ago,the county contracted with Rumke to haul all the trash away, the old landfill grounds is the area they still bring the trash to,but it is no sorted, and then reloaded onto other trucks and transferred somewhere else for disposal.

White enameled steel. The new ones are plastic/fiberglass and go for $250-700

They had some nice claw and ball foot cast iron tubs in the $150-$200 range but they are too heavy for my application. I am afraid they would go through the floor after a time.

Yeah - Habitat for Humanity has some great stuff. I've even planned short road trips based on their outlets. Got some great stuff.

With the avocado tub gone you'll have to get rid of the Naru jacket, white belt and shoes. But I'll take your "Yellow Submarine" album.

Cool score.
