Hello, I'm Joe from Indiana. I've been looking for a decent survival forum to build upon my survival wisdom and understanding, as well as give what wisdom that I have for the advantage of others. I'm looking forward to future discussions with you all.

Hey transplant mansplant. I live in Hoosierland. That makes me a Hoosierurdaddy.

Welcome to the only survival forum invaded, captured and now guarded by Hoosiers.

And he's a lot closer to me than we'll ever let on. You know how those Kanuckistan folks are. Between Kemporer and me, we've got Indy surrounded!

Kemperor

Yes we do. I doubt too many people in Indy are worried about survival though. Sad that it's such an uneducated city, there's always hope though.

Rick

I'll admit I was getting worried but now we've picked one up from Illinoise and Indianoplace so we're still ahead.

Rick
01-22-2008, 08:44 PM
Yeah. I was born and raised there.... by coyotes on the bank of the Big Muddy where the Muddy Monster roams.

Hahaha. I ultimately don't want any part of Nap either, but being that I have many friends from up there, I still care. In the event of an emergency, my best friend has 110 acres out near Gosport that we are currently building up into as good of a fall back area as possible. There's plenty of game and I've located quite a few edible plants in the property. It lies right across some railroad tracks from the White river, which acts as a levy when the river floods. The land is at a higher elevation than the tracks too. It's a pretty decent track of land for surviving on if worse comes to worse. It has much potential.

The husband was born and raised there,so been there a few times, enough to know it is one nasty place to live.

Rick

Yeah, but you can follow the railroad right down to Ramona and McCormick's Creek. Nice area!!

Hello to you too Beowulf.

It's the last driveway before the road's dead end due to the bridge being out. It's right past where the river bends up to the road. I love that area. Glad to know you're so familiar with the area.

Thank you Corndog. I see from the 44 in your name that you're probably from the Central regions as well.

Kemperor where did you get an idea like that :). The 44 is from the year I was born...1944. I live up here in North/Central Indiana...Cass County. You was close though; I was born in Fountain County.

Cass county, eh? Logansport's in Cass County isn't it? I've lived in Trafalgar (most people know it as Raglafart) my entire life. I was born in 84 in Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. Born and raised Johnson Countian. Although I'm probably going to relocate to either Morgan or Monroe County by the end of summer.

Yea, Logansport is in Cass County. You're not moving very far home this summer, are you?

Kemperor

No, not too far from home. I like the positioning of Martinsville because it's pretty much equidistant from anywhere I would be needed or need to be. I'll be going to school in Bloomington in the fall at Ivy Tech, my parents are still in Trafalgar, my fall back area's not too horribly far away, and Indy's within range if it's absolutely necessary that I go there.

What is a hoser WE?? If its better than "hoosier" (which no one seems to really know for sure what a hoosier is),maybe we should change our name?

Rick
01-28-2008, 09:07 AM
Nell - It's a person that handles a hose......okay. Uncouth or unintelligent. Clumsy beer-drinker. Think loser and you're on the right track.
