I agree. Stage foraging is definitely something to take into consideration.
When I go hiking or camping, I try to gather and eat some of the wild foods so that my body is already used to them. Just in case I have to use it for survival one day.

I'm just reading a book that contains the abbrieved versions of the early Europeans explorers of the barrens in Canada's arctic,, very sobering stuff......a good reminder that relying exclusively on wild game and plants for food for extended periods of time gives people an excellent chance to be pushing up the daisies earlier than expected.

You gotta have fat when you're in the wild and trying to survive. You can't eat lean beef and expect.....no wait......You can't eat leaves and exp....no, that's not right either. Go with the happy meal. That's it.
