Good evening Wilderness Survival,
Just a short note. Had a hankerin' for some Lake trout so I head out to the lake this afternoon. As usual she was not letting up on the wind nor slush, however she did give up some of her possessions. All in all it was a good afternoon with a balmy +3C.

Nice fish for sure, looks like you have the lake to yourself. The slush doesn't appear to bad in the pictures, here it has made getting on the ice almost impossible. I would love to see a week of cold weather to tighten up the slush so we could get a couple more trips in.. Did you get them on just under the ice or just off the bottom.

tipacanoe, Thanks. There's close to 2 ft of snow on the ice with 6 inches of slush below. I was out today and the slush had thickend up to 10 inches. We're catching these guys in 65 ft of water (just off the bottom). The temp is suppose to drop Friday so it should tighten everything up.
