Here is Washington State it is legal to hunt predators with artificial light and night vision at night as long as there is not a big game season in progress in that unit.

I have a Yukon scope that uses a laser to actually sight with and works really well. I am hoping if all goes to plan to take it tonight and see if I can get a bobcat or coyote.

So who else lives in a state where it is allow and do you use it?

ninjas don't need to see in the dark, besides there is no place to mount night vision on a pocket knife.:burst:

There is a night season on coyote here in Maine and we can use lights but last I checked we cant use night vision. To be honest though, I havnt looked at the new laws yet for the 2011 seasons so I cant say for sure if night vision is allowed or not.

Been wanting "Night vision capability" for my city BYB air rifle.
Lazer will light up the eye, so I can tell which end is which, at which point it's still hard to see an image in the dark......

Any lighting is considered, even a red dot, is "shining" in WI, there fore against the law..............
Don't know about varmints.

The Yukon scope I have also has a built in IR light for low or no light conditions. It lights the eyes up as though they are glowing without the animal even seeing the light. I traded a .22 pistol for the scope I have but they can be had for under $600

If I had to do it again, I would like to have the goggles and use an IR laser (about $90 on ebay) mounted on my rifle.

I would suspect there are a few forum members that have done some hunting using night observation devices (and game laws didn't apply, only rules of engagement).:m107:
