HELENA, Mont. — A 1.4-acre parcel of land in western Montana that was once owned by Unabomber Ted Kaczynski is on the market for $69,500.

The listing offers potential buyers a chance to own a piece of "infamous U.S. history" and says the forested land "is obviously very secluded." It's listed by John Pistelak Realty of Lincoln.

The Lincoln-area property, which had been listed at $154,500, does not have electricity or running water. Kaczynski was critical of technology.

The property does not include Kaczynski's cabin, which is on display at the Newseum in Washington, D.C.

Kaczynski is serving a life sentence for killing three people and injuring 23 during a nationwide bombing spree between 1978 and 1995.

I think they have that a bit overpriced, even with the historic connection.

For that money you can buy an acre with a nice little house with both electric and running water in my neighborhood.

No spooks, no tourists, no one coming back in a couple of years to retrieve the bomb he just told them he buried.

Is this property being sold by his estate, is it tax lein, or does the U.S. now confiscate the property of the convicted?

If ole Ted's brouther had not ratted him out he would still be living there.
