I was browsing amazon's cyber monday deals and saw that this 60 watt portable solar charger (like for charging tools or whatever out in the great wide open) was going to go on sale in like 2 hours (at approx 2:15 eastern time today).

It doesn't say what the sale price will be, but sometimes it is up to 75% off. Thought I would mention it here in case someone was looking for one.

$289.00....That's 50% off. Quite a deal.

that isn't the special sale price yet even. That is the standard sale price.

Their special "cyber monday" price will go live in like another hour, which will be less. But it'll only be limited quantities and with a time limit.

Right on the right side of the screen below the main amazon header bar, directly aligned on the top of the product title and product picture (but on the far right side) is a "Lightning Deal" link, you gotta click that.

Halfway down the page is the lightning deal horizontal scroll box, click the right arrow a couple times, you'll see it.

I have just recently got into solar power. There is more to know than I knew. I have found a local company and a guy working there that has been very helpful. I'm paying through the nose for the stuff but I realize how many mistakes I would have made without him and would have been more costly in the long run. Study is needed before making purchases. Some of the things that surprized me was the size of the battery cables needed. It made perfect sense to me having been a mechanic back when cars had 6 volt systems and the size wires needed for them. It should have occured to me but didn't. Another was the controller that prevents power feeding back through solar panel at night draining battery and also prevents over charging. It also has a volt meter built into it. Battery technology has come a long way to and I have opted for gell celled, no maintenence batteries but again that is not an option I would have considered without the thorough explaination given me of all choices. The whole system is balanced so excess is not going to waste and courdinated with my generator and my needs. I am working on a tracking system to follow the sun now and considering the options that have been presented me. The fact is I would have screwed up big time and wasted a lot of money without help. That is not to say if you know all these things you could not build your own system without help. Just a word of experience to others as clueless as me, disregard this post if you know all about it.
