Beautiful pictures for sure. Looks like an a lot of work for the rewards, but worth the view.

thanks for the link...now that is some serious dog mushing...very impressive. Old school trap line teams are the benchmark for serious work animals

thanks SD
the mushing is way beyond my skill set, horse and packhorse more in my range. i do like seeing how others do thier trapsets tho, always gives me fresh material.
now here is where is show my inexperience as a noob, only being at it for a month now, i wonder how old the photo is, the connibear looks like the old style not the current conni's with the AIHTS which is agreement on onternation humane trapping standards, maybe i am incorrect but the trap looks differnt, can anyone confirm this pic?

hmmm, just curious, nothing worse than a noob who doesn't know scat questioning someone with experience, asked a guy at work that, he was trapping muskrats with a 110, i looked at him and said thats not legal, he just looked at me with a smile in his eyes, so i goes back thru my book and see 110's are legal on a muskrat, oh silly silly new guy, lesson stuck in my head tho

his sled and equipment are antiquated as well...however, i just took that as, he is just using stuff that still works- even though its old....

well like i said nothin worse than a noob running off at the mouth.
So i talked to my head trapper tonight, and apparently ontario is way more regulated than everywhere else(big suprise) it looks like some places in the states including alaska that connibear would still be legal
