If it's strong enough to hold your weight
If it is't "TO" dead
If your capabilities meet the challenge :)

If you are physically able. Tree size. Tree rot, check with knife, type of tree, limb spacing and size, how high do you want to go, using climbing stand, ladder or hooks, have a safety strap? Several other things I don't want to fill the page. Do you just want to climb trees because they are there???

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover - Mark Twain"
I like that.
Then you'll also like Franklin Roosevelt's words: "To reach a port, we must sail - sail, not tie at anchor - sail, not drift."
