That old blade sure shined up. What does that little guy weigh in at and what is the Crashcarta made out of? Oh, I had to laugh. When I saw the title I was thinking of a military base. Camp Cleaver. Too funny.

Nice cleaver Crash. Looks to be a piece that was made to do a job and does that job well. Once again you do good work.

@ Ravenscar - not really. I'm trying to get better with my hollow grinds and I find that shorter knives are a little easier. Started a bigger, more traditional knife today.

@ Rick - weighs in at 12.1 ounces, blue jeans for the scales, copper ground wire for the pins.

It was either that or cut a car in half. Mrs. Crash voted so I stayed with the stick.

Show her this and tell her how lucky she is you didn't go for the bold.

Good thing you ended up with the hawk.

On another note - I gripped it for a righty. It figures that the only lefty at the Jamboree would get it.

I just hold it backwards and chop up.

Wow, that dude really don't like drums, eh?

Rick, two more steps back, blade up, throw, it'll stick handle up.

Nice work, crash, looks kinda like a throwing knife, have you tried that?

Haven't tried throwing it. My luck one of two things would happen - 1) I'd lose it, or 2) I't find out I really made a boomerang - neither of which would be good.

Probably good counsel.....I can say that after making "scales"(didn't know they were called that at the time) out of a very pretty piece of cherry wood.

Finding out in the process that a portable belt sander, in a vise, with the lock button set, can really sand off skin of your hands fast.

Only to have it shatter in several pieces the first time I threw it....Oh well, into the fire, as a gift to the "scale" gods...........

Still a very nice effort.
