This is an invasive species down here. It is edible. But, I have not tried it.

Anyone have experience with it?

Yes. The vines with the single leaves are supposed to be mildly purgative. I have some Cambodian friends that do eat them though (boiling with changes of water). The vines with the double leaves (directly opposite each other on the vine) are considered edible. The "air" part is just the seed pods. Follow a mature vine to the ground and start digging. Some of the potatoes (root) get up to 75 pounds.
