I am curious if anyone has heard of this or belongs to this group?

InternetSAR.org (http://internetsar.org/index.html) is to develop and promote the use of the Internet to conduct collaborative analysis of aerial and satellite imagery during search and rescue operations to help locate down or missing aircraft or vessels.

When Fossets plane went down ,they were enlisting people online to help try to pinpoint his location from their home computers ,I dont know how well this worked,I dont know if they ever found his plane.
