We're all probably cutting down on plastic bottle use, anyway. But when you do use a plastic bottle, its cap often can't be recycled. Do you pitch it, or put it to a new use? Here's one idea that will have you saving the cap to use time and again:

He obviously didn't read the label on the bottle. I'm not certain but I think it says, "No seeds."

It may be illegal to use the plastic bottle in this fashion.

i'm pretty sure that once you've paid the crv, you own the container untill you redeem it.

i've used the same technique to make air filters for culture bags, along with rings cut from inoculation syringes. i don't think i would ever have thought to use it to make bags resealable.

Nope - still illegal. According to the label thingie, the only thing you can use the bottles for is a bicycle. I've never quite figured out why, but it says it right on that green trinagle thing with arrows.

And the lid says you can make a tricycle out of it.

I don't know too much about that bag sealing endeavor but I do know that those cut off water bottles make dandy funnels for filling bottles with homebrew.

is that anything like those parking spaces where you're only supposed to park wheelchairs?
