Yesterday, using a dirty mind control trick, Ken planted the need for me to get some pastrami, in my head. I had a big ol' 'strami sammich yesterday, and another one today.

My question is....does pastrami have the same stuff in it, that thanksgiving turkey has? I ask, because after each of those 'strami sammich's, a nap snuck up on me!:innocent:

Pastrami and turkey have identical levels of Tryptophan - 305mg per 200 calorie serving.

NOW do I get promoted to Deputy Minister of Science? :innocent:

And I hope that it was Black Forest Pastrami with an appropriate percentage of fat - say, 25% - to add flavor.

Oooow. Ever fry up the pastrami? It's great cold, but fried? On a soft onion roll with mustard?

Now, I think I need to run out for some, uh, :innocent: um, ahh.........oh yeah, some anchovies. I'm down to 3 jars and 4 cans, and we do have a big storm on its way. And soft onion rolls. Yep. Can't forget them. :blushing:

And wouldn't you know it? I just got a craving for German beer. Maybe a Weissbier. Maybe a six-pack of Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier. :innocent: Hmmmm. Maybe I should pick up some pastrami to go with it. :blushing:

If you're using sliced rye, try it on one of them grilled sandwich makers or a George Foreman grill.

I don't do sauerkraut, but when I fixed my sammich's, I realized that I'm all out of big fat dill pickles. It's just wrong, to have a 'strami sammich without a wedge of dill pickle!!!:sneaky2:

Went and got some, just a little while ago. I went in the store to get a $3 jar of pickles, and walked out of there $40 later.:innocent: LOL
(And I know better than to go to the store while hungry!)
