Pimped Mora

I modified the sheath a while back, and thought it was time to modify the knife (Mora 780 from Safe Zone). Kind of looks like Walt Disney threw up on it.

That's pretty wild Crash, I like it! Is this over the existing handle?

Yes. I removed about 50% of the existing black handle and roughed it up pretty good before wrapping it.

How did you do the sheath? I always did like Walt Disney, throw up and all.

Both the sheath and the handle - took the strips of material and submerged them in the fiber glass resin. Wrapped them around the sheath (I left it as it was before I started wrapping) and handle. After each strip, rolled them in a closed hand to squeeze out the excess resin and make the fit as tight as I could. When through, I wrapped masking tape tightly around it all to help keep it together and tight.

About 45 minutes on the 1 X 30 belt sander with varying grits (started with 120, finished with 400).

Is it possible to make a handle that would use as a pattern useful info one might need to refer to from time to time, like (bad example) Morse code, danger signs or something along those lines?

It might be if something that does precision grinding is used and you can remove one layer of material at a time. I don't think that I could do it. This one started out as a stars and stripes pattern material.
