Had a day out at the seaside yesterday. We went to Hunstanton, a little seaside town on the east coast. It's a pretty little Victorian place with a bandstand and a lighthouse. Trouble is, you can only get a good view of the victorian part of the town from the sea, soooo we went on the Wash Monster!
No it's not a salty Nessie, It's actually an American LARC XV. Circa 1967. It saw action in the Vietnam war! Some of the St Edmund Point lighthouse was chopped off in the photo owing to poor stability of the photographer.
Oh we also had fish and chips and one or two pints of the black stuff:innocent:

Those things are wicked. It would be fun to have one just to play with.

I did think it would make a good FART vehicle, but you boys would spend too much time playing with it to make any sensible sort of rescue:innocent::)

Oh and there was the most butch trolley dolly doing the safety speil I've ever seen! I was going to take a photo for the other ladies of the pack, but my brother-in-law confiscated the camera.:sneaky2:

FART vehicle. Hmmmmmmmm.

Is it just me or does it seem a bit wrong when the weather is so bad you have to use the observation bubble and your customers are in an open bay?

Captain: "On the port side we can see.....HEADS DOWN! We have a breaker coming in!"

Well, if people are daft enough to pay to go out when it's rough why should the crew get wet?
I have to say, you could have some serious fun with one of those, and what a BOV!! It does about 30mph on land and 9mph on water. I found this site that may excite the oily rag types.

Wisconsin Dells has the "Duck Rides", similar vehicle, and I always thought the whole idea was to get wet.

I think we could keep the F.A.R.T. Buggy at Kens place. We could keep it hidden out back.....where it's over grown......and we could rebuild the fort......it could be like the bat cave, only for farts instead of bats.:tongue_smilie: LOL

That's hilarious! I love the chrome bumper!!!!

2D - If you compromise on the mancave for F.A.R.T. members we won't use it for bats or farts. A compromise would be F.A.T.S. (Fairly Agile Tasting Squad). I strongly suggest the first order of business be ribs and beer. Of course, we may have to upgrade from a LARC to an LSI but we'll adjust that belt when we need to.
