Slowness this weekend

I'm surprised no one posted about this.

This weekend (sunday night, friday night) there was some major slowness starting at about 8PM eastern.

This was the result of a DDOS attack on the server this site is on.

I'm not entirely sure why my server was targetted, I think perhaps by a competitor, it is hard to say.

In anycase, I believe it is mostly blocked, and shouldn't happen again, unless they change their tactics. If it does happen again, please just be patient.

WE NOTICED!!!! LOL,I could not access the site other than the whose online page,if I tried moving through the forums,or PMing,it went no where.

+1,, I got a server error a few times and could not even get to the site,,

I don't know what a DDOS attack is, but if it originated from an IT guy that lives in Detroit, about 240 miles from the nearest road, it might be worth looking into.:innocent:

I found some dust in one of the servers and it took a few minutes to get it cleaned up. Sorry.

I don't know if it was related to the previous attack, but last night it was kind of hit or miss if it was reeeeeally slow, or actin normal for about an hour or so.

Seems fine now. Earlier it was super slow.

I had the slowness at the same time as you Crash. (only it was evening here) It's OK now though.
