I just got this one done for a buddy at work. I think he is going to give it to a Navy buddy of his who is shipping out to Alaska in a few weeks. I hope it will serve him well. I need to make him a sheath still. Thanks for looking.

8" overall length
blade is 3.5"
Mesquite handles
5/31" thick Ats34

Ah, man. Frank, that is just beautiful. It has a wonderful simplicity in design. He should be delighted to receive that.

Good looking design. A very no nonsense work knife that I would be proud to carry in the field.

It's just the outgoing shipments that seem to suffer that fate.

Thanks. I'll let you guys in on a little secret.:blushing: It was actually a longer drop point. I was grinding away deep in concentration when my wife comes in and yells at the dog who was doing his business on our driveway and it scared me. I jumped and put a deep gash with the 40grit belt. I tried to get the canal out but it was too deep, and It wasn't going to function well at that length. So I ground it shorter and thats what you are looking at. It was a lucky save that it still resembles a blade. Don't tell any one.:tongue_smilie:

Yup, if it was meant to be longer the dog would have used the lawn.

Sometimes I think the good Lord and St. Peter are up there and the good Lord says something like, "Hey, Pete, watch this".........

He does that to me a lot.

Good story! If you made ugly knives, things like that wouldn't have mattered.

BTW, That is one GREAT lookin' knife.
