Didn't know where to put... but in "BOB" would seem a good start.

Do you carry a large enough pot with a bail and cover to take care of not only your meal/stew/soup...etc but that of your "family, friends, entourage".

I recently posted about a longer handled spoon of the "stew" type that I had made oh so many years ago fits great in thermos's, deep cans/jars and of course in the larger pot for a communal meal. Just a continuation of the same idea.

In my day pack I carry a small pot with a bail and cover for a single user + size, in my BOB I do carry a much larger "same styled" pot to share a meal. I don't have to fill it up with every meal only to suit the situation.

We always say better to have and not need it than need it and not have it.

Would this be a similar piece of equipement?

I think mine is 6 quarts or so and I put all my other foodstuff inside it and bungee the lid on. It really doesn't take up any room because everything else is crammed inside it.

When I'm by myself I carry two canteen cups that handle everything. When others are with me I have the option of a Mountain Cookset.

I also have a similar Primus cook set.
