Would it be possible to add fine chopped rubber bits to a can of rubber tool handle dip to make a nonslip krunkle type handle on a knife.

I've never thought about adding anything to the rubber dip but I had thought of using a cheaper wood for a handle and then dipping it for the finished product.

I was thinking along the lines of old rubber boot soles and using a grinder .

It might work. If used the tool dip to coat a cord wrap on a knife. It gave it a decent grip.

They use an arcrillic granule on top of a coating to add texture to garage floors. That might work.

alternately, especially if adhesion turns out to be poor, you could dip the handle, then roll in a textured aggregate material and allow it to rub off afterward, leaving the voids in surface of the tool-dip as a non-slip surface.
